ESAP for Construction Management Concentration Students
The Engineering Student Apprenticeship Program (ESAP) gives Construction Management students a unique opportunity to combine classroom learning with hands-on experience and professional certification. Through ESAP, your coursework, on-the-job training, and industry credentials are designed to work together, giving you a competitive edge as you prepare to enter the workforce.
Currently, ESAP students in Construction Management have the opportunity to work closely with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Office of Facility Management, gaining real-world experience managing and executing projects on campus. In addition, the program is actively forming partnerships with leading construction companies, providing students with a growing network of industry mentors and career-launching opportunities.
Each student in ESAP is supported by both an academic advisor and an industry mentor, ensuring meaningful engagement in the classroom and on the job site. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project planning, construction management, and site operations, skills that are highly valued by employers and essential to your professional development.
As we confirm partnerships with additional companies, we will create dedicated subpages on the website with details about each partner and instructions on how students can apply to participate. See the page on the Office of Facility Management for more information.
ESAP is more than just an internship; it’s a fully integrated path that prepares you to succeed in the fast-paced world of construction management. By participating, you’ll leave the program not only with knowledge and experience but also with professional credentials that set you apart in the industry.
