Engineering and Technology Week

The Student Chapter of the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, working with the College of Engineering, organizes Engineering and Technology (E&T) Week activities during the Spring Semester of each academic year. The purpose is to celebrate the important role of Engineering and Technology in meeting the present and future needs of society.
E&T Week is packed with many activities that are designed to highlight and showcase our most valuable assets, our students. The week starts off with an opening ceremony on Monday and closes with the Engineering & Technology Awards Banquet on Friday.
The activities are designed to engage students, faculty, alumni, and the community in interesting events which showcase the engineering and technology professions. Also to increase interest in and appreciation of the complex ways in which engineering and technology impact the world around us.

The Engineering and Technology Expo, which is always on Wednesday during E&T Week, is an interactive tour that highlights opportunities in engineering and technology for high school student visitors.
