The College of Engineering takes pride in keeping the Engineering & Technology Expo free to the public and to our industry volunteers. In order to continue to do this we rely on sponsors to help offset the costs of facilitating and planning this huge event. With approximately 2,300 guests and 500 volunteers that include industry, UL students, faculty and staff, any help is greatly appreciated. Sponsors are also needed for our UL student activities during Engineering & Technology Week.
Volunteers are needed for activities that are separate and not related to Industry Expo Booth responsibilities.
Poster Contest Judge: Judging will take place at your convenience at any time between Monday, March 5th, at 5 PM until Wednesday, March 7th, at 11 PM in the UL Dupre’ Library. On campus parking is open to the public after 5 PM. More info will be provided to those that volunteer, as we get closer to the date. The Poster Contest is for the UL graduate and undergraduate students and is one activity during our E&T Week. This event is not part of the Expo.
Department Display Judge: Judging will take place on Wednesday, 3/7/2018 during the Engineering & Technology Expo. It will take a judge approximately one hour to visit every department. This event gives points to each department for the Department of the Year Contest. Each of the six departments will submit ONE display that represents their department for the judges to review.
Best Decorated Department Judge (“Esprit de Corps”): Judging will take place on Wednesday, 3/7/2018 during the Engineering & Technology Expo. This award is given for the department with the most spirit, which is evident, by their departmental decorations. It will take a judge approximately one hour to visit all six departments. This event gives points to each department for the Department of the Year Contest.
