Congratulations Dr. Terrence Chambers!

Dr. Chambers is a Mechanical Engineering Professor, David and Janice Mosing BORSF Endowed Chair and Director of the Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Center. He was awarded the Louisiana Clean Fuel (LCF) Leader Award, the Katry Martin Award for his dedication and commitment throughout his career to alternative energy.

LCF honors outstanding organizations and recognizes the achievements of clean fuel stakeholders who have gone above and beyond in reaching their environmental and transportation goals. Every two years, LCF honors one person whose kindness, positive attitude, and passion for alternative fuels sets them apart from their peers. This year, Dr. Chambers is that person and we are proud he is a part of our engineering family.

Dr. Chambers works relentlessly to further the cause for alternative energy, leading a group of faculty and students in the study of all forms of energy efficiency and sustainable energy technologies. He has designed and installed the state's first solar thermal concentrating power system in the state and the largest units at any university. He promotes joint research projects across disciplines and department which include other research topics such as virtual reality, optimization, and artificial intelligence. He currently serves on the Governor’s task force for Net Carbon Future.
