Petroleum Engineering (PETE) students recently completed their International Association of Drilling Contractor (IADC) WellSharp Level 2 certification.

The Petroleum Engineering (PETE) Department is accredited as a WellSharp Well Control Training Center, led by Mr. Randy Andres.  "A Well Control education was delivered to the students providing the finest education in the nation. I am very proud of our student’s commitment and dedication to this important topic." says Andres.

UL Lafayette’s PETE department is the only PETE department in the nation to hold this certification.  Mr. Andres is certified as an IADC Accredited Well Control Instructor on levels 1- Awareness, 2-Introduction, 3-Drillers and 4-Engineers and Supervisors.
