UL Lafayette is recognized as a Green Power Partner by EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency has recently recognized UL Lafayette as a Green Power Partner.  Dr. Terrence Chambers, Director, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Center and Gretchen Vanicor, Director of Sustainability were instrumental in achieving this recognition, which came primarily as a result of UL Lafayette's Photovoltaic Applied Research and Testing (PART) Laboratory powering a major portion of South Campus using renewable energy.  The University's committment to green power demonstrates a sustainable choice that helps to reduce the negative health impacts of air emissions including those related to ozone, fine particles, acid rain and regional haze.

This is in addition to UL Lafayette's ranking of 195th on the 2018 University of Indonesia's GreenMetric Ranking internationally and 25th in the United States. Eco-friendly practices and overall campus environment were considered at 719 universities from 81 countries for UI’s GreenMetric list.  For more information on the University's ranking, click here
