E&T Week’s signature event is the Engineering and Technology EXPO Day, held on Wednesday every year. The EXPO, organized by student volunteers, offers 2,500+ high school students from around the region the opportunity to tour each engineering department and undergraduate research lab, visit with and see state of the art technology from industry, and participate in a variety of competitions. Throughout the interactive tour led by engineering students, the high school students engage in hands-on demonstrations and observe up close how engineering and technology impacts every part of the world around them and afar. This exciting experience introduces high school students to engineering and technology in a unique way and encourages them to consider those fields as they apply for college. The E&T Expo also serves as the College of Engineering’s premier recruiting tool while encouraging teamwork, problem solving, and public speaking and building comradery and leadership skills in its current students.
