Lila Fox is a South Louisiana native, born in Crowley and raised in Lafayette. She graduated from Comeaux High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Upon graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette she moved to Denver Colorado to accept a role with one of the nation’s leading engineering, planning, and design firms, Kimley-Horn and Associates. After contributing as a design engineer and traveling to work with local teams on development projects throughout Texas, Florida, and Virginia, Lila pivoted into a client-facing project management position with global water and natural resources firm Montgomery Watson Harza (acquired by Stantec Consulting Inc.). Through this top-level executive position liaising between the design team (Architects, Engineers, Contractors) and the Owner (cities, municipalities, power authorities), Lila was able to contribute to complex multi-billion-dollar capital projects while living in Las Vegas Nevada, Vancouver British Colombia Canada, and eventually back home in South Louisiana.

 

After seizing every opportunity made available to her, Lila realized she had gained a career’s worth of experience in just a little more than a decade. She looked at the next step up the ladder in the global firm she was working for, and decided it would be better suited for someone else. She took her passion for photography, writing, yogic studies, and travel and turned it all into a (second) career.

 

Today Lila is an award-winning travel photographer, and the owner of a travel company specializing in global private travel arrangements for American ultra-high net worth individuals primarily in the tech and capital/finance industries. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys creating black and white photography of the people & animals she meets during her travels. Lila also holds certification in Nutrition & Wellness Counseling, and is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor with specialty in Vedic Philosophy and Yin Yoga. She enjoys mentoring youth, and consulting high-level with fellow business owners to streamline their business operations to realize more efficiency and profitability. Her travel advice has been published in such periodicals as The New York Times and National Geographic Adventure, and she has been named an industry Trendsetter by Luxury Travel Advisor Magazine as well as one of the south’s most stylish by Southern Living magazine. Lila lives in the mountains of Colorado with her husband Chad Ermel (BS Civil Engineering from Texas A&M and Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University).
