Jerry L. Logan Engineering Scholarship

Jerry Logan is a 1978 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (then University of Southwestern Louisiana) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for more than 36 years in the energy industry with the first 28 of those years working for Halliburton in field engineering, sales, engineering management, operations management, and executive leadership.  The remainder of his career was spent consulting with a number of firms in the energy business.  Although he was educated as a mechanical engineer the preponderance of his technical work was within the petroleum engineering discipline. Jerry is now retired but still retains an interest in the industry and in the University where his professional journey began. Jerry's aim in donating this scholarship is to help an aspiring engineering candidate to realize their own potential as they advance their career for themselves and the greater benefit to society.
