The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and South Louisiana Community College have signed an agreement which creates a pathway for SLCC graduates who earn an associate's degree in general studies with a pre-engineering concentration to apply course credits toward a bachelor's degree from the College of Engineering at UL Lafayette.

"This is a great opportunity that opens a clear path for SLCC students who want to continue their education in the pursuit a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at UL Lafayette. The Associate Degree in General Studies with a Pre-Engineering Concentration from SLCC will also provide a great workforce development opportunity in the Acadiana area as well as the state of Louisiana,” said Dean Ahmed Khattab.
