Gary began his career as a design and construction engineer with Chevron U.S.A. Inc. after graduation from UL Lafayette in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. His service with Chevron led to several positions of increasing responsibility over the years, leading to the position of President of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company. Gary served with Chevron in both domestic and foreign locations and retired in November 2013. After retiring from Chevron, he joined the Frank’s Board of Directors. In January 2015, Gary was named President and CEO of Frank’s International.
He has served as a member of several professional service committees and institutes. He chaired the governing board responsible for overseeing the four joint industry task forces after the Deepwater Horizon tragedy to make improvements in industry, oil spill prevention, intervention and response. He served as a member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive Committee and the Board of the United Way Greater Houston. Gary also served as Chair of the Step Change in Safety Leadership Team and as a member of the Industry Leadership Team in the United Kingdom.
