Ali Saberioon is an Oil and Gas executive with 30+ years of experience. He emigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1976 and entered the industry after completing his BS and MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now UL Lafayette. Ali is a Registered Professional Engineer for the State of Texas. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Ali ventured into several start-up companies in Houston, Texas, including Sabco Oil and Gas Corporation. As president and CEO of Sabco, he expanded his one-man E&P company with less than $1 million market value into a mid-size independent company that operates onshore and offshore in the United States.

Aside from his business ventures, Ali serves as Trustee of Baylor College of Medicine, Trustee of Rhodes College, and a Board Member of M.D. Anderson Board of Visitors. He also serves on the Board of Asia Society, Huffington Aging Center at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Downtown Park Corporation, University of Texas Health Science Center, The Encyclopedia Iranica Foundation at Columbia University, Houston Community College System Foundation, Coalition of Persian Charitable Organizations, and Chair of Iranian Cultural Foundation-Houston. Ali also founded the Iranian Medical Relief Foundation dedicated to helping needy people in Houston.

He is the recipient of the prestigious University of Houston Law Center Arrival Awards recognizing the successes and benefits that immigrants bring to the nation, 2007 Asian American Leadership Award, Parsa Foundation Philanthropist of the Year Award, and 2007 Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
