Beridon Family Endowed Chemical Engineering Scholarship
Four members of Dwight Beridon 's family attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as of the date of this scholarship was established in 2000. His father, Harold Beridon, attended the university but did not complete degree requirements. Dwight, his brother, Harold, and his sister, Melanie, are all graduates of the university.
Dwight Beridon graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering in 1967. After a 20-year career, Dwight retired from the Elf Atochem, N.A., Inc. in 1999. He created this endowed scholarship to promote and reward excellence in Chemical Engineering for those students who might not otherwise be able to pursue a career in Chemical Engineering.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a junior or senior
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- If as a senior, the student applies for a graduate degree, then the student can apply to receive again
