The college is mourning the loss of Dexter Anthony Landry who passed away on February 19, 2020.  Dexter was a Senior in Civil Engineering.

Dexter was active in extracurricular activities, demonstrating leadership and establishing close friendships with many of his peers. He was instrumental with the success of the 2019 ASCE Sustainable Solutions (Doghouse) Team that placed 3rd in the national competition, connecting the team with the ability to cut the bamboo from Avery Island that was used to construct the doghouse project.  Through Dexter's relationship with the McIhenny family, he was instrumental in obtaining a generous donation for the Sustainable Solutions team to travel to the national competitions.   Dexter was also a member of the ITE Traffic Bowl Team, who won first place in regional competition and would have been competing in the national competition at the International Transportation Engineers National Conference.

Dexter was very much engaged in his education and showed great promise as a Civil Engineer. He will be greatly missed.

Fly high Dexter....until we meet again!
