Congratulations to the Ragin' Cajun Racing (RCR) Team on their accomplishments at their recent competition placing in the top 10 on their cost report as the most economical car.  Overall, the team placed 93 out of 150, a very respectable position for a second year team.  This was 64% better than their first year.

RCR, a second year Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) Team within the College of Engineering at UL Lafayette, recently competed at the FSAE competition in Michigan.  RCR was one of 150 teams at Michigan this year.  Competition included US teams as well as teams from Austria, Germany, Korea, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, and Poland.  Twenty-two members of the RCE team attended the competition.

The RCR team designed and manufactured their open wheeled, single seat automobile that was used to compete in Michigan.

Their Team Advisor is Dr. Yonus Niguse, Instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Congratulations, and good luck at the FSAE competition in Canada.
