2023 E&T Industry Volunteer Opportunities

E&T Week is full of activities for our current UL Lafayette engineering students. We are in need of contest judges for several of our activities during the week of March 27 - 31, 2023.  Contests include the following:

  • Research Poster Contests - Judging will be on Monday, March 27; 5:00 to 6:00 PM in the Student Union Ball Room (1st floor)
  • Departmental Display - Judging will be on EXPO Day, March 29, 2023; 8:30 to 11:30 AM
  • Esprit de Corps (Best Decorated Department) - Judging will be on EXPO Day, March 29, 2023; 8:30 to 11:30 AM

Judge: Poster Contest Judging will take place on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM in the Student Union, Ball Room. More info will be provided to those that volunteer, as we get closer to the date. The Poster Competition is for the UL Lafayette graduate and undergraduate students and is one activity during our E&T Week. This event is not part of the EXPO Day.
Judge: Department Display Judging will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 8:30 to 12:00 PM, during the Engineering & Technology EXPO Day. It will take a judge approximately one hour to visit every department. This event gives points to each department for the Department of the Year contest. Each of the six departments will submit ONE display that represents their department for the judges to review.
Judge: Esprit de Corps (Best Decorated Department) Judging will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 8:30 to 12:00 PM, during the Engineering & Technology EXPO Day. This award is given for the department with the most spirit, evident by their departmental decorations displayed during the EXPO. It will take a judge approximately one hour to visit all six departments. This event gives points to each department for the Department of the Year contest.
