Dean's Welcome Message

Welcome to the Ragin' Cajun Engineering Website! I am glad that you have stopped by to visit our site. Our college is currently undergoing a tremendous amount of change in terms of improving our classroom experiences, increasing the global impact of our research activities, and being a key aspect of regional economic development. With that said, I am happy to report that some things are not changing - we still think it an honor to play a small part in the development of each of our student's careers, entering students quickly become members of the UL engineering family, our alumni continuously work with the faculty and staff to ensure that this college is indeed a very special place to learn about engineering and technology, and companies highly respect our programs with the most common complaint given me from visiting companies being "we need more of your graduates".

I encourage you to explore both the college's and university's websites to learn more about UL and its great engineering and technology programs. Not only is UL a great place to learn, but Lafayette is an absolutely terrific place to live.

Please contact us if you have any questions. We stand ready to provide assistance in any way that we can. If you are a student considering enrolling in our college, please know that we truly want to help you design your future.

Geaux Cajuns!

Mark E. Zappi, Ph.D., P.E.
